The University Computing Service already provide a wide selection of forums, (full list). For example york.talk, york.su, york.soc.indie etc. These are fast, fun, flexible, and easy to use, and unlike the YUSU.org forums, they are not censored by the SU.

Unfortunately for reasons best know to Computing Services, Windows 2000 was installed without the newsgroups being configured.

You can still access the newsgroups using the simple easy-to-use web based interface here. You will need to login using your computer service username and password when prompted.

Experienced users may want to configure newsgroups access themselves in Outlook Express.
